As a Community Registered Nurse – Mental Health at Richmind WA, you’ll provide holistic support to people living with severe and complex mental health challenges, including those experiencing co-existing substance misuse.
Your work will focus on:

  • Conducting mental health triage, assessment, and crisis intervention.
  • Supporting people’s recovery journey by linking them with GPs, pharmacists, and other care providers.
  • Delivering safe medication management and education.
  • Advocating for consumers, promoting social inclusion, and reducing stigma.
  • Building therapeutic relationships that respect dignity, boundaries, and recovery principles.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You      

You’re a Registered Nurse who brings both clinical expertise and compassion. You’ll have:

  • Current AHPRA registration (post-grad in Mental Health or Addictions desirable).
  • Experience in mental health nursing, ideally in community settings.
  • Strong assessment, care planning, and medication management skills.
  • The ability to work independently while thriving in a multidisciplinary team.
  • A recovery-focused approach and genuine respect for diversity, including Aboriginal, CaLD, LGBTIQ+, and people with disabilities.

Essential checks: WA driver’s licence, National Police Clearance, First Aid Certificate, and Working with Children Check.

This role is fixed term full-time role until June 2027 offering 75 hours per fortnight (Monday to Friday)
