As Facilities and Assets Manager, your work will sit at the intersection of safety, quality, service continuity and consumer experience. You will lead the systems, relationships and planning that keep our properties, fleet, assets, contractors, maintenance programs and capital works moving in the right direction.
This role is about more than fixing buildings or managing assets. It is about creating the conditions that allow staff to do their best work and people accessing our services to feel safe, included and supported in their recovery.
Job Description
What you'll be doing
Leading facilities and asset management across the organisation
Oversee the maintenance, condition and performance of facilities, equipment and assets.
Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs across multiple sites.
Coordinate repairs, upgrades and maintenance activities to ensure service continuity.
Manage property leases, utilities, asset registers and insurance requirements.
Driving operational excellence
Lead the administration and continuous improvement of systems including MyBuildings.
Monitor asset performance and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and value.
Produce reporting and insights to support planning, budgeting and decision making.
Manage facility inspections, site condition assessments and asset audits.
Contractor and stakeholder management
Build strong relationships with contractors, suppliers and service providers.
Review quotations and oversee contractor performance, compliance and service delivery.
Partner with internal leaders to prioritise works and resolve facilities issues efficiently.
Ensure all contractor records, compliance documentation and maintenance data are current.
Compliance, safety and risk management
Support organisational compliance with relevant legislation, standards and policies.
Partner with Quality and WHS teams to ensure facilities meet safety requirements.
Manage insurance claims relating to property and assets.
Respond to emergencies and critical facilities issues when required.
Leadership and strategic contribution
Lead and support the Facilities and Assets team.
Contribute to organisational planning, budgeting and capital works projects.
Provide expert advice and recommendations on facilities, property and asset management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen organisational capability and service delivery.
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a collaborative and people-focused approach.
You will ideally have:
Demonstrated experience in facilities, assets, property or maintenance management.
Experience managing contractors, suppliers and service agreements.
Knowledge of facilities compliance, asset lifecycle management and WHS requirements.
Strong project management, budgeting and prioritisation skills.
Experience overseeing maintenance systems, work orders and reporting processes.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
The ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership.
A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering excellent customer service.
A relevant qualification in facilities management, asset management, project management, property, trades or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
This is a full-time role based in Cannington, working Monday to Friday. Occasional after-hours response may be required for urgent facilities or emergency matters.
