About the Role

The NDIS Senior Recovery Support Worker is responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals, supervising support workers, completing audit documents, and overseeing day-to-day operations in compliance with National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) standards.
Reporting to the NDIS Core Supports Team Leader, this role ensures services are delivered effectively, meeting both participant needs and regulatory requirements while maintaining a caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the service delivery of Recovery Support Workers and ensure services align with NDIS standards.
- Maintain a caseload of participants requiring complex or specialist support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including service providers and community organizations.
- Represent and promote RW services to the wider community.
- Support incident response and maintain communication with the Team Leader per organizational policies.
- Develop and implement recovery-oriented, strengths-based support plans, crisis, and safeguarding plans for participants.
- Provide supervision, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to Recovery Support Workers.
- Conduct audits, review service delivery, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance reporting.
- Ensure all staff adhere to policies, procedures, and best practices, completing mandatory training.
- Assist with referrals and eligibility assessments for service delivery.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need to have;
Qualifications and Certificates
- Minimum Diploma qualification in a relevant human services discipline with demonstrated experience
- Current National Police Clearance Certificate (no older than six months)
- A valid First Aid and CPR Certificate (HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid, HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
- A current working with Children Check
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience within community services
- Previous experience leading a team or providing supervision to Recovery Support Workers
- Strong understanding of NDIS standards and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication skills, leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment
Desirable
- Lived experience of mental health recovery or as family members of people with a lived experience of recovery is desirable
Attitude
- Positive attitude towards people experiencing mental distress.
- The ability to live RW values in all workplace tasks and interactions.
- Pro-active individual who is enthusiastic and committed to upholding RW values and principles
This role is full-time working Monday to Friday, based out of Cannington and willing to travel as required.
