About the Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role supports a wide range of finance functions including month-end processes, external financial reporting, tax compliance, audit preparation, and cash flow management. You’ll also contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring our finance operations run smoothly and that we meet both internal and external reporting obligations.
Month-End and Year-End Accounting
- Complete journal entries and manage accruals, prepayments, leave liabilities, and lease accounting
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring any differences are reconciled and actioned on a timely basis
- Maintain the fixed asset register and reconciliation process
- Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting the external audit
Tax Compliance
- Prepare and lodge BAS and FBT returns
- Maintain accurate tax records and ensure compliance with legislation
Cash Flow Management
- Deliver regular cash flow forecasts and manage term deposits
- Ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs
Reporting and Analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting and funding acquittals
- Assist with developing and preparing reports, including in Power BI
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need to have;
Qualifications and Certificates
- CA/CPA (or working towards qualification)
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Current National Police Clearance Certificate (no older than six months)
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- A valid Driver’s licence
Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in balance sheet reconciliation, tax compliance, and audit preparation
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Proactive, organised, and able to meet deadlines
- Clear communicator and collaborative team player
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
- Open to learning and continuous improvement
- Exposure to Power BI and data reporting tools is desirable
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector
Desirable
- Lived experience of mental health recovery or as family members of people with a lived experience of recovery is desirable
Attitude
- Positive attitude towards people experiencing mental distress.

This role is working Monday to Friday, based out of Cannington office.
