About the Role
As Service Manager, you’ll guide a passionate multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality, recovery-focused support to residents at our Bunbury SUSD site – a warm, therapeutic home-away-from-home delivered in partnership with Cyrenian House.
You’ll bring together people, processes, and purpose – ensuring services are safe, innovative, and person-led. You’ll nurture a positive culture, strengthen partnerships, and empower your team to achieve outstanding outcomes for consumers and the community.
In this role, you will:
Service Management
Guide both clinical and non-clinical teams to deliver best-practice, recovery-oriented care.
Build capability through coaching, feedback, and professional development.
Model our values and create a culture where people feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
Service Operations
Champion quality, safety, and compliance within operational and clinical frameworks.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen outcomes and experiences.
Ensure services meet budget, funding, and strategic objectives.
Stakeholder and Relationship Engagement
Collaborate closely with Cyrenian House and other key partners to provide seamless, integrated care.
Develop trusted relationships with stakeholders, consumers, and the local community.
Create opportunities to share learning and promote innovation across the organisation.
People and Performance Management
Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and manage employee development.
Ensure compliance with employment regulations and foster a positive work environment.
Manage the recruitment of the SUSD staff and support with relief staff across the southwest
About the Service
Nestled in the beautiful Southwest region, Bunbury Step-Up Step-Down is a 10-bed residential service supporting people experiencing mental distress to regain balance, confidence, and wellbeing. Residents stay for up to 28 days in a supportive, recovery-focused environment, one where they’re recognised as the experts in their own experience, and we walk alongside them on their journey.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
You’re an experienced leader who thrives in complex, people-centred environments. You know how to bring out the best in others and build teams that are compassionate, capable, and courageous.
You’ll bring:
A relevant qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, or a related field.
At least 3 years of leadership experience in a fast paced, complex service delivery or mental health setting.
Proven skills in people leadership, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
The confidence to make sound decisions, balance priorities, and drive results with empathy and respect.

Leads with integrity and accountability.
Inspires trust and collaboration.
Believes in the power of recovery and inclusion.
