Job Description

About the Role

At Richmind WA, every role matters, but this one is truly special. As an Aboriginal Mental Health Practitioner with our Moorditj Djerpin Wirrin (Strong, Happy Spirit) outreach service, you’ll be supporting Aboriginal people and their families through a culturally grounded, strength-based recovery approach. You’ll be there for the moments that matter most, helping your mob navigate mental health, trauma, grief, loss, and the complex challenges of daily life.

  • Support individuals dealing with AOD, domestic violence, trauma, grief, and exclusion

Who We’re Looking For:
You’re someone who:

  • Lives and breathes a people-first, culturally informed approach
  • Has strong experience supporting individuals with mental distress and complex needs
  • Can work autonomously and in partnership with other services
  • Communicates with empathy and clarity
  • Brings positivity, curiosity, and commitment to learning

Your Must-Haves:

  • Aboriginal descent (per Section 50(d) Equal Opportunity Act)
  • Cert IV or above in Mental Health
  • National Police Clearance
  • WA Driver’s Licence & vehicle safety check
  • First Aid Certificate, Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Demonstrated experience in culturally safe outreach mental health support
