As our Aboriginal Cultural Lead, you’ll walk alongside Elders, community leaders and our teams to embed Aboriginal inclusive practice across all parts of our organisation. This is a leadership role with deep purpose, guiding how we listen, learn, and work together to ensure that every space at Richmind WA is culturally secure and respectful.
You’ll be the heart and voice of our Working Together, Walking Together (WTWT) Aboriginal Plan, providing cultural leadership, advocacy, and mentoring that strengthens relationships, lifts Aboriginal voices, and helps us shape a future built on respect, truth, and reconciliation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work with our Elders to lead the continued implementation of Richmind WA’s Aboriginal Plan across all levels of the organisation
- Provide expert cultural advice and guidance to support Aboriginal consumers in culturally safe and responsive ways.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Aboriginal organisations, Elders, and community leaders.
- Deliver cultural leadership and mentoring to staff, leaders, and teams.
- Equip our workforce with cultural knowledge through training, storytelling, and reflective practice.
- Navigate complex and sensitive issues with professionalism, empathy, and cultural integrity.
- Promote reconciliation and inclusion through advocacy, education, and action.
- Represent Richmind WA in community forums, events, and strategic partnerships.
