Job Description

As a Service Support Officer, you’re the first point of connection for people accessing our residential services.

You create a safe, welcoming, and organised environment, helping people feel respected and supported from the moment they walk in or call.

Behind the scenes, you keep things running smoothly, supporting intake, coordinating information, and helping our team deliver essential mental health services across the Karratha community.

What you’ll be doing

Creating a welcoming experience

  • Greet visitors and residents with warmth and professionalism
  • Respond to calls and enquiries with care and clarity
  • Help people access the right support, at the right time

Keeping services running smoothly

  • Maintain a professional and organised reception space
  • Manage mail, records, and general administration
  • Support meetings, rosters, and day-to-day operations

Supporting intake and entry into services

  • Process referrals and maintain accurate records
  • Coordinate documentation for admissions
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Help ensure timely access to services

Being part of the team

  • Support projects and continuous improvement
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace culture

What you’ll bring

You don’t need to have worked in mental health before — but you do need to care about people.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is organised, proactive, and reliable
  • Communicates with empathy and professionalism
  • Can juggle tasks and stay calm under pressure
  • Enjoys working both independently and in a team
  • Brings a positive, community-minded attitude

Experience in administration or reception is important. Experience in community or not-for-profit services is a bonus.

What you’ll need

  • Administration experience or relevant qualifications
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office)
  • National Police Clearance
  • Working With Children Check
  • Valid WA Driver’s Licence
  • First Aid Certificate

This role is full-time working Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
